Pipe Coating

Fire dampers within ductwork systems are normally used to avoid flame and smoke spread, but in some cases, such as car cark extract ducts, smoke extract ducts or pressurization ducts, the fire dampers cannot be used, therefore a fire resistance duct is necessary.

Depending on the building design and local regulations, the ducts can require insulation and integrity or integrity only. Through thorough examination, our certified experts are equipped to conduct the required testing and interventions. That will ensure optimal results.

Protective coatings on the internal surfaces of pipelines are common in many industries. The purpose of protective coatings varies from normal corrosion protection, to reducing the coefficient of friction to preventing the penetration of atoms of the conveyed medium into the structure of the pipeline material. A significant part of the application of protective coatings is on steel and cast-iron pipelines.

Pipeline protective coatings are applied both before commissioning and during the lifespan of the pipeline. In such cases, dismantling the pipe is very different or almost impossible (welded pipes, pipes buried in the ground, etc.). A completely separate area is the treatment of the internal surface of the girth welds on new pipelines.

JettyRobot is the ideal tool for pipeline coating. Depending on the type of protective coating, an additional tool can be used to apply one or two-component coating materials. Always in combination with a pump designed for the selected type of coating.

JettyRobot’s maneuverability allows it to work in bends and verticals. In addition, the robot’s reach allows for a significant reduction in the volume of work and associated financial requirements to gain access to the pipeline. The savings mainly concern the reduction of places where the pipeline has to be disconnected and in the reduction of the volume of potential excavation work.

Such an intervention ensures:

  • Fire Protection
  • Compliance with Building Codes
  • Reduced Fire Spread and Damage
  • Enhanced Structural Integrity
  • Corrosion Protection
  • Improved Thermal Insulation
  • Energy Efficiency
  • Chemical Resistance
  • Reduced Condensation
  • Ease of Cleaning and Maintenance
  • Noise Reduction
