Phantom robot can use dry ice for cleaning in a process known as dry ice blasting.
Compressed air is used to accelerate pellets of solid carbon dioxide, AKA dry ice, in order to clean different surfaces. Upon reaching the surface, the dry ice causes thermal shock which freezes the contaminates on the surface making them brittle. The high speed of bombardment causes the brittle debris, stains, and contaminants to break while the sublimation of the dry ice blows them away.
We produce our own dry ice pellets with the help of ColdJet superior systems that are highly reliable. They allow us to consistently produce, meter and package dry ice of high quality.
This process is considered a superior cleaning method when compared to traditional ones because it is
Not only does it remove tough stain but also it get rids of odors without damaging surfaces or leaving byproducts or waste. Furthermore, it has disinfection capabilities due to the low temperature of dry ice (-80 oC).
This method is known to be less labor Intensive because no dismantling or disassembly is required. Besides being less time consuming, it is also less energy intensive all of which decreases labor costs.
Besides dry ice being a nontoxic material, the process reduces employee’s exposure to dangerous chemical agents and therefore is considered a safe method.
The process produces zero waste and uses no chemicals or solvents. Moreover, The CO2 used is recycled which means no extra CO2 is released into the environment.
